Based on a report from the Central Statistics Agency (BPS), the national export volume of crackers and chips in January–November 2021 amounted to 20.47 million kg.
This volume increased by 53.34% compared to exports in the same period in 2020 which amounted to 13.35 million kg.
Meanwhile, the export value of crackers and chips for the January–November 2021 period was reported at US$52.02 million, an increase of 57.7% compared to the same period the previous year which was only US$32.98 million.
The largest export destination for crackers and chips is Thailand, with a volume of 4.5 million kg (total value of US$13.3 million). South Korea followed with a volume of 3.66 million kg (US$ 8.8 million).
Indonesia also exported 3.63 million kg of crackers and chips to the Netherlands (US$10.6 million), Malaysia 3.46 million kg (US$1.77 million), and the UK with 1.3 million kg (US$3.82 million). million).
